The concept for the "Queen Maya Devi Maternity Route Marathon" was born during one of Mr. Bikram's morning showers. Singing is a ritual he enjoys during his showers, and that day, he found himself happilysinging his favorite Beatles song, "Let It Be” with the lyrics “When I find myself in trouble, Mother Mary comes to me, speaking words of wisdom, let it be." After finishing his shower, he returned to his room, still humming the tune, and began drying himself with a towel. As he tossed the towel aside, a thought struck him: "Oh my god, Mother Mary and Mother Maya Devi are so similar."
This epiphany marked the birth of the "Mother Maya Devi Maternity Route Marathon" concept. In the Western world, she is popularly known as "Queen Maya," and this rebranding serves to emphasize her "Queen hood" and highlight her Royal significance. Recognizing the importance of honoring her royal status and significant role in history, Mr. Bikram decided to rebrand the event to "Queen Maya Devi Maternity Route Marathon."
