Full Marathon

Day 1: Depart your country and arrive in Nepal Kathmandu Airport. Connect flight to Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa / LUMBINI, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel for a quick change and freshen up, leave for Maya Devi Temple at the sacred garden to view peaceful SUNSET right from the site where Lord Buddha was born. Return to your hotel for rest.

Day 2: After Morning Breakfast Sightseeing Tour of Ancient Kapilvastu Tilaurakot Sakya's Palace, Twin Stupa of King Suddhodhan and Maya Devi, Niglihawa / Aurorakot, the Natal Town of Kanakmuni Buddha. Visit Gotihawa, the Natal Town of Krakuchanda Buddha with a tour of Kudan, Nigrodharam, where Sakya Prince returned Home as an Enlightened Buddha and ordained his Son, Rahul to Buddhism. Return to Hotel for Lunch. After Lunch, meet at the Hall for Marathon Briefings.

Day 3: MARATHON DAY - Marathon Kick-Starts at 7:00 am from the Sacred Garden of Buddha Birthplace by the Mother Maya Devi Temple, running through the route of Paderia, Pakadi Barrohiya, Dohani, Aurorakot, Niglihawa, Tilaurigaon, and ending at the historical Sakya palace complex of Tilaurakot, covering a total distance of approximately 42.195 kilometers. Return to Hotel for Rest and meeting Friends back at Lumbini. (Lunch will be either in Kaplivastu or Lumbini) Evening marathon celebration Dinner at the Hotel.

Day 4: Morning after breakfast, depart for Gautam Buddha International Airport to connect flight for Kathmandu or connect flight from Lumbini Airport itself for onward International Journey.

  1. Visit the Pagodas & Palace of Ancient Kathmandu cities of Kantipur, Lalitpur, and Bhaktapur & Kritipur to enjoy the wonders of pagoda style architectural cities. Also visit Swayambhu Stupa popularly known as Monkey Temple and Boudha Stupa which once served as a Gateway to Tibet for trade & commerce.
  2. Pokhara, often called the Kashmir of Asia, a city of lakes and mountain views where you can enjoy boating on Phewa Lake and watch the sunrise from Sarangkot with a backdrop of the Mount Annapurna Massif. (1/2 nights)
  3. Chitwan National Park offers an immersive wildlife experience with sightings of Royal Bengal Tigers, Elephants & One-Horned Rhinos in their natural habitat, along with jungle safaris, canoe rides, and cultural shows. (1/2 nights)
  4. Visit the Hill Stations of Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, or Chandragiri near Kathmandu within just a few hour drive from the city for panoramic Himalayan views. (1/2 nights)
