The Queen Maya Devi Maternity Route Marathon was born from a moment of divine inspiration. Its creator, Bikram Pandey KAAJI a veteran tourism visionary and Lumbini’s Goodwill Ambassador, was singing the Beatles' “Let It Be” when the line “Mother Mary comes to me” sparked a realization — Mother Maya Devi also deserves global reverence.

From that spark came a mission: to create a global spiritual marathon — a maternity route that would celebrate the journey of Queen Maya Devi, who walked from Tilaurakot to her maternal home in Koliya to give birth to Prince Siddhartha, the Buddha. Today, this route represents the world’s first Buddhist spiritual women’s pilgrimage, honoring history, motherhood, and humanity.
